Call for Papers: Authors are invited to submit technical papers describing original work and/or advanced practices on RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and terahertz (THz) theory and techniques. New for IMS2017 is the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition for eligible students and Young Professionals. Eligible students are also encouraged to submit papers for the Student Paper Competition. Eligible authors from industry are encouraged to submit papers for the Industry Paper Competition. Additionally, any author who submits a paper on advanced practices may be entered into the Advanced Practice Paper Competition. A double-blind review process will be used to ensure anonymity for both authors and reviewers. Papers will be evaluated on the basis of originality, content, clarity, and relevance to IMS. Authors of accepted papers will also have the opportunity to submit expanded versions of their papers to the IMS Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques. The technical paper submission deadline is 5 December 2016 (Monday).

Exhibitor Workshops and MicroApps: New for IMS2017 are Exhibitor Workshops that provide IMS exhibitors a unique opportunity to present in-depth technical topics, via two-hour sessions, in a meeting room off the exhibit floor. Microwave Application Seminars (MicroApps) return as a forum on the exhibition floor for IMS exhibitors to present the technology and special capabilities behind their commercial products. Both presentation formats are open to all conference and exhibit attendees – Exhibitor Workshops require a nominal fee, and MicroApps are free of charge. IMS2017 exhibitors are invited to submit abstracts for Exhibitor Workshops and MicroApps technical papers describing state-of-the-art products and processes of interest to the microwave community. Abstract submission files will be considered for oral presentation, as well as electronic distribution, to IMS attendees. The Exhibitor Workshop and MicroApps abstract submission deadline is 5 December 2016 (Monday).
